Decoration Methods

Promotional Innovation Group is able to assist with the artwork for your products.

There are various options available for decorating products, and these differ depending on the product and quality required.

Some of the more common decorating methods include:

Embroidery

Embroidery is a method of stitching your design onto a fabric surface, producing outstanding results and quality products. Embroidery is ideal for items including apparel, caps, jackets and bags and satchels. Embroidery costs vary with 'stitch count' (which increases with size).

Pad Printing

Pad printing is the most common decorating method, and involves a wet ink transfer process to print on irregular or curved surfaces. Most promotional items like mugs, pens, and golf balls are decorated using the pad print method.

Screen Printing

Screen printing involves applying ink to a surface through a screen supported on a fine mesh of fabric stretched tightly over a frame. This method is most commonly used to decorate t-shirts, but is also used on some other promotional items.

Plastisol Transfers

Plastisol Transfers allow the print of more complex logos or those with multiple colours and graduations. The transfer is applied to the materials surface via heat and pressure. Commonly used for bags and satchels and some caps.

Blind Stamping (or Blind Embossing)

Blind Stamping uses a block to press your logo directly into a material's surface. These logos have a subtle appearance, and are commonly used on leather and vinyl products.

Laser Engraving

Logos are cut out of a hard surface, usually glass, metal, or wood. The design appears as the material color beneath the surface.

Epoxy Domes

Epoxy Dome features your logo printed on paper under a clear, high-gloss acrylic dome, giving designs a sleek, dimensional look. The dome is then applied to a product's surface with a strong adhesive. Commonly used for bags and satchels.

Foil Stamping

A custom made die is used to apply your design with colored foil to a material's surface. Stamping is typically used for leather and vinyl products.

Process Printing

Process Printing involves a four colour CMYK print process to product photo like results on items. This method is commonly used for mouse mats, magnets, brochures, banners, flags and other items that require full colour detail.
